Swelling can be prevalent, which is normal; this should last around the two week mark. While you may feel fine, the healing process will not be complete until around 9-12 months. During this period: you will make continuous appointments with your surgeon and orthodontist to monitor your progress. If your braces are still on, it should take around 6-12 months for them to be removed post-surgery.
